Dr. Tom Jacob is double board certified in Adult Psychiatry and Geriatric Psychiatry. He completed his undergraduate training at an accelerated undergraduate/graduate degree program via the New York Institute of Technology. Dr. Jacob was then accepted in to the medical school program at the New York Institute of Technology College of Osteopathic Medicine. He has completed both a Residency in Adult Psychiatry and a Fellowship in Geriatric Psychiatry at the University of Rochester Medical Center.

Dr. Jacob has held academic appointment at the University of Rochester Medical Center and was promoted to Assistant Professor of Clinical Psychiatry. He practiced as an Attending Psychiatrist at an affiliated outpatient Psychiatry program supporting some of the community’s most vulnerable populations as well as providing specialized expert consultation for Skilled Nursing Facilities throughout New York State. This position also involved a great deal of training opportunities as he was providing education and supervision to trainees including Resident Psychiatrists and Geriatric Psychiatry Fellows.

Dr. Jacob has a genuine interest in treating various psychiatric disorders including mood disorders such as Depression and Bipolar Disorders, Anxiety related disorders, as well as many other conditions. He has experience working with various populations in different demographics and appreciates the opportunity to connect around similarities as well as differences.
