Abigail McMorrow, LCSW
Abigail McMorrow is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with experience providing psychotherapy to individuals and families, and group therapy with a wide range of mental health diagnoses. Abigail graduated from the University of Chicago with a master's in social work. She received her bachelor's in arts from Hampshire College, where she studied social work and psychology. Abigail has extensive experience working with people from all socioeconomic and cultural backgrounds in San Francisco, Chicago, and New York City. She specializes in working with people who experienced and are experiencing trauma, struggling to manage substance use, as well as people diagnosed with mood disorders and anxiety. Abigail draws from a relational approach to the therapeutic relationship pulling from trauma-informed care, psychodynamic principles, and mindfulness techniques. Flexibility is core to Abigail's trauma-informed approach and incorporates Motivational Interviewing, CBT, and DBT principles as may be needed. Abigail works to hold space for your unique experience and support a better understanding of yourself and your relationships, a greater sense of meaning and purpose, and an increased ability to manage the challenges of everyday life.
