David Krassner, MD
Dr. David Krassner is a board-certified adult psychiatrist who has been practicing for over 20 years. His practice focuses on medication management, typically offered with supportive therapy. Dr. Krassner is a graduate of the University of Rochester School of Medicine. He completed residency at the UCSF-Fresno Psychiatry Training Program in Fresno, California. He is currently an Assistant Clinical Professor at the University of Arizona College of Medicine, Phoenix Campus. His years of experience include work at community health centers, an Assertive Community Treatment Team (ACT) specializing in the Serious Mentally Ill (SMI) population, a state prison, and serving our veterans at the Phoenix Veterans Affairs Medical Center.
Over the years Dr. Krassner has enjoyed teaching medical, nursing, pharmacy, and psychology students and residents, as well as mentoring undergraduate students at Arizona State University, Fresno State University, and California Polytechnic University, San Luis Obispo. Dr. Krassner has authored a number of papers and has made many presentations on psychopharmacology, diagnosis and treatment of psychiatric disorders, as well as a lecture on atypical frontotemporal dementias, an interest related to his studies in neurology. Dr. Krassner's expertise lies in psychopharmacology, with a focus on individualized treatment strategies to serve the needs of patients with a variety of conditions. He has extensive experience in treating mood disorders, including depressive and bipolar disorders, anxiety disorders, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), and obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), as well as working with patients suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).
