Joyln Ferrell, MD
Dr. Joyln Ferrell is a board-certified psychiatrist who specializes in providing patient-centered care to treat depression and anxiety disorders. She enjoys working with patients to improve their quality of life and helping them reach their specific treatment goals. She received her medical degree from Howard University College of Medicine, and also holds a doctorate in pharmacy from the University of Georgia. She completed her residency training in psychiatry at VA Boston/Harvard Medical School with significant training experiences at McLean Hospital. She additionally completed a fellowship in psychoanalytic psychotherapy at Columbia University Center for Psychoanalytic Training and Research.
Dr. Ferrell provides medication management in conjunction with supportive therapy. A typical followup visit will average 20-30 minutes. In some cases, additional therapy support may be needed and a separate individual therapist may be brought into your care team to help you achieve the best treatment outcome.
