Nakia Alford-Sunday is a Licensed Professional Counselor, who has extensive experience working in the mental health field. Nakia has worked directly with clients from diverse populations living with a variety of mental illnesses. Nakia received her bachelor's degree from Texas Tech University and her master's degree from Lamar University.

Nakia has been practicing for over 3 years as a Licensed Professional Counselor, focusing on anxiety, depression and complex trauma. When working with Nakia, treatment is tailored to the individual as great effort is made to select the treatment modality that suits the individual's personal issues. Nakia uses a multifaceted approach with a foundation in cognitive behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, and EMDR therapy.
