Richard Sanders, MD

Dr. Richard Sanders was born in Akron Ohio. He has lived in Ohio for most of his life. He has a BS in psychobiology from Centre College of Kentucky, an MS in biology from Akron University, and an MD from Wright State University. He completed residency in general psychiatry at University of Pittsburgh / Western Psychiatric Institute and Clinic in 1992. He has worked with active-duty military in the US Air Force, with military veterans in the VA, and with civilians in several settings. He has been active in research and teaching throughout his career. He has published over 70 articles, letters and abstracts on psychiatric topics, and has contributed to over 50 studies of depression, anxiety, PTSD and schizophrenia. He remains active in clinical trials and resident teaching.
