Trouble joining your virtual visit? Use the guide below.

Joining from a desktop browser?

The patient portal is hosted by a third-party application called healowTM. We partner with healowTM to conduct virtual visits, manage health records, and make scheduling and messaging easy.

To access your visits, we recommend using a laptop or desktop and having a strong internet connection. You’ll need to have your phone handy for this process, too.

  • Open the patient portal in Chrome or Edge (other browsers aren’t supported). You can download Chrome here.
  • Select the 'Using Mobile Phone’ option (even though you’re using desktop, we’re working on a fix here)

Signing in via mobile with the healow app

If you’re logging in from a phone or tablet, we recommend going through the Healow app.

  • Download the healow™ app for Apple or Google
  • Launch the Healow App, review the tutorial and agree to the terms of use
  • Enter your first name, last name, and date of birth. (If you’re signing in for a minor, use their info/)
  • Tap ‘Yes I have a Practice Code’ and enter the Talkiatry practice code: FGCACD
  • Talkiatry will show up as your practice with a New York office address. (Don’t worry if you’re not in New York, this is the practice address we use for all virtual visits.) Select ‘This is My Practice’

  • Verify your account via mobile or home number. Enter the verification code.
  • Create a 6-digit security PIN.

Enabling H2H on your healow account

We also recommend all patients enable h2h (hello2healow). This is a feature that allows your clinician to call you through the app in case you get disconnected or need help troubleshooting. Here’s how to enable it.

  • Sign into the healow app
  • Click on your initials in the circle in the upper left-hand corner to view your account

  • Click the gear icon to open account settings
  • Under General Settings, click h2h
  • Enroll your phone number and verify

Video freezing or connectivity issues?

We recommend using a wifi connection rather than cellular data.

Make sure the signal is strong and that you’re connected to your preferred network.
