Sherra St Clair is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Doctor of Nursing. She has more than a decade of experience working with individuals with a wide range of mental health concerns including attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, depressive and anxious disorders, obsessive compulsive disorder, bipolar disorder, and trauma responses. Sherra completed her Doctor of Nursing degree at the University of Wyoming and was recognized for her compassionate and welcoming approach in patient interactions. Prior to becoming a nurse practitioner, she was inspired to pursue further education while working as part of an inpatient treatment team that included psychiatrists, psychologists, patients, and their families. Witnessing the profound improvements that patients can experience after a crisis motivated her to shift to an outpatient, preventative approach. Previous to nursing, Sherra was a medical illustrator and animator, educated through the University of Michigan's medical school and enjoyed creating medical education for patients, physicians, and attorneys.
Sherra enjoys working with patients of all genders and socioeconomic backgrounds. Through shared decision making, she complements patients' strengths with evidence-based medication, psychotherapy, and education. Sherra recognizes that each individual is the expert in their life experiences. She strives to empower people to build on their self-worth, progress, and potential.
