Lorangelly Rivera, MD

Dr. Lorangelly Rivera is board-certified in Adult psychiatry and has been practicing for over 5 years.
Dr. Rivera focuses on medication management and brief psychotherapy utilizing techniques from cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, and supportive therapy in 30-minute appointments. When appropriate Dr. Rivera may recommend additional psychotherapy with a psychologist as part of the treatment plan. She is fluent in both Spanish and English and is passionate about working with the Latinx population.
She completed her bachelor’s degree in Cellular Molecular Biology from Metropolitan University, San Juan, Puerto Rico, and her postgraduate work at the National Cancer Institutes in Bethesda, Maryland. Dr. Rivera received her medical degree from Ponce Health Sciences University School of Medicine, Ponce, Puerto Rico. She completed her residency training in psychiatry at the University of Rochester Medical Center. After completing her training she began working for Lifespan Physician Group where she became program director for Lifespan Latinx Mental Health Services and served as Staff Psychiatrist at Rhode Island Hospital and The Miriam Hospital. She holds a faculty position in The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University, Department of Psychiatry and Human Behavior as a Clinical Instructor.
Gloria Rodriguez, MD

Dr. Gloria J. Rodriguez is an Adult Psychiatrist based in New York. She has over 18 years of experience. Her focus is the treatment of Depression and Anxiety disorders using a combination of medication management and psychotherapy. Before joining Talkiatry Dr. Rodriguez served as the Vice Chair for the Department of Psychiatry at Mount Sinai Morningside and West Hospitals.
She earned her Bachelor’s degree at the City College of New York. Dr. Rodriguez received her medical degree at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York, and completed her residency training at the Mount Sinai Hospital. She remained on staff thereafter, rising to the position of Division Chief of Inpatient Psychiatry until Nov 2014.
In December 2014, Dr. Rodriguez moved to Mt Sinai Morningside and West, to assume the position of Director of the Acute Care Division. Over the following years, she effectively led numerous changes and improvements, including the establishment of the Child and Adolescent Unit that moved from Mount Sinai Hospital. She was promoted to Vice Chair in January 2019 with a focus on staff wellness Safety and Quality Practices.
Daniel Rodriguez, DO

Dr. Rodriguez is a board eligible adult psychiatrist, who is also fluent in Spanish. He completed residency at North Florida Regional in Gainesville via the University of Central Florida, where he also served as chief resident for education. He received his medical degree from Lincoln Memorial University – DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine in Tennessee. He also holds a master’s and bachelor’s degree in engineering from the University of South Florida, in Tampa.
Dr. Rodriguez has worked with a wide array of patients across various medical settings and has experience treating patients with psychiatric illness who may also be suffering from medical comorbidities, such as obesity, hypertension, pain, and diabetes. He has been deeply involved with teaching and emphasizes psychoeducation while working in collaboration with his patients to help tailor their personalized treatment plan. His primary focus has been on treating adults with depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety, ADHD, OCD and PTSD.

She completed residency at St Lukes-Roosevelt Hospital in New York City via Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons followed by a Fellowship in Forensic Psychiatry in a combined Cornell University - Columbia University program with the New York State Psychiatric Institute. She obtained her medical degree at the Pontificia Universidad Catolica Madre y Maestro in the Dominican Republic.
Dr. Rodriguez is an adult psychiatrist and has worked with a wide array of patients across various medical settings including extensive experience in Telehealth. Her experience includes Kings County Hospital in Brooklyn New York in addition to outpatient experience in both clinics and correctional facilities.

Julie Rodriguez, MD

Dr. Julie Rodriguez is an ABPN boarded adult psychiatrist with clinical experience of over 15 years. Dr. Rodriguez practice focuses on medication management which is offered in conjunction with supportive therapy.
Dr. Rodriguez obtained her medical degree from the Universidad Catholic Madre y Maestra Dominican Republic. She then completed her residency in adult psychiatry at the University of Florida, in Gainesville. After completing training Dr. Rodriguez became a Clinical Assistant Professor for the University of Florida Department of Psychiatry. In this role she served students at UF Student Mental Health at the Counseling and Wellness Center. She also provided treatment to adults in inpatient services and other settings.
While doctor Dr. Rodriguez treats a variety of age ranges and diagnosis, she is most passionate about college student mental health with a clinical expertise in the area of mood and anxiety disorders.
Anne Rohs, MD

Dr. Anne Rohs is board certified in both adult and geriatric psychiatry and has practiced psychiatry for over 10 years. She has extensive experience treating critically ill patients in hospital settings. This experience allowed her to hone skills necessary to care for individuals with complex psychiatric illnesses complicated by medical conditions. Dr. Rohs’ approach to care involves providing a consistent, empathic, non-judgmental space to develop and attain shared treatment goals. She is committed to developing a partnership which is always respectful of patients’ points of view, and she utilizes this knowledge to inform treatment plans that are safe, effective and agreeable to patients. At the same time, she is sensitive to financial or insurance coverage factors that may impact treatment.
After completing residency training at Montefiore Medical Center, Dr. Rohs was invited to serve an additional year as Senior Chief Resident for its adult psychiatry residency training program. She spent the next year as a fellow in Geriatric Psychiatry before her appointment as an attending physician on Montefiore’s acute psychiatric inpatient unit. During her training years, Dr. Rohs made several trips to Uganda to serve as an attending physician with the Doctors for Global Health Project.
Dr. Rohs subsequently transferred to Bronx Psychiatric Center (BPC), where she treated inpatients and outpatients suffering from severe mental disorders. At BPC, she expanded her knowledge base and became an expert in advanced psychopharmacology. Dr. Rohs also spent time prior to joining Talkiatry as an attending physician at NYU Langone Hospital.
Dr. Rohs specializes in treating a variety of psychiatric conditions including mood disorders, psychotic disorders, anxiety disorders, PTSD, and dementia. She is attuned to the direct and indirect mental health impact of the pandemic and its aftermath on patients of all ages.
Dr. Rohs does not usually treat ADHD patients. For the small number of patients she treats who have ADHD, Dr. Rohs requires comprehensive testing, multiple follow ups, and a full medical workup before confirming a diagnosis to ensure appropriateness and safety of chosen treatment.
Michael Roman, MD

Dr. Michael Roman is currently a Staff Psychiatrist at Talkiatry. He completed his adult psychiatry residency training at the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Roman is a board-certified Adult Psychiatrist and a diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN).
Dr. Roman’s clinical practice centers primarily around medication management and psychopharmacological treatment approaches. He also specializes in a variety of psychotherapeutic modalities which he utilizes in conjunction with medication management in order to provide patients with the best possible treatment outcomes.
Dr. Roman’s curiosity for the studies of the human mind began with pursuing a bachelor’s degree in psychobiology at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). He was intrigued by the way our mind, body, emotions, and behavior were intertwined to comprise our everyday life experiences. His interest in the intricacy of the human mind was deepened in medical school, and he received his medical degree from the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. He completed his adult psychiatry residency training at the University of Pennsylvania.
Dr. Roman treats a wide spectrum of patients, but his primary clinical focus is treating mood disorders, ADHD, anxiety disorders, and PTSD. Dr. Roman also specializes in treating substance use disorders and possesses clinical expertise in implementing high quality motivational interviewing and motivational enhancing therapy.
Luke Romanow, MD

Dr. Romanow is double board-certified in Adult Psychiatry and Forensic Psychiatry.He graduated summa cum laude from the University of Pittsburgh with a Bachelor of Science degree in Sports Medicine/Athletic Training and then attended Drexel University College of Medicine. After medical school, he completed his residency in Adult Psychiatry at the University of Virginia, where he obtained a certificate in additional psychotherapy training.After residency, Dr. Romanow completed a fellowship in Forensic Psychiatry at the University of Virginia. During his fellowship, he trained at the prestigious Institute of Law, Psychiatry, and Public Policy (ILPPP) and Western State Psychiatric Hospital where he performed criminal and civil forensic evaluations. He also provided clinical care at a maximum security prison.
Prior to joining Talkiatry, Dr. Romanow worked at a healthcare system in Montana providing inpatient and outpatient psychiatric care involving medication management and psychotherapy. Additionally, he operates a private Forensic Psychiatry practice conducting mental health evaluations for the legal system.
Dr. Romanow has extensive experience treating various mental health disorders including depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety and obsessive-compulsive disorders, post-traumatic stress disorder, and ADHD. His clinical work includes assisting patients who experience mental health disorders with co-occurring substance use problems. He has training in various schools of psychotherapy including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), CBT for insomnia, motivational interviewing and supportive psychotherapy.
Dr. Romanow incorporates treatment focusing on the importance of exercise, diet and good sleep habits as a part of comprehensive mental health care.
Cindy Rossetti, MD

Dr. Cindy Rossetti is board certified in Adult Psychiatry. She has been practicing for over 13 years. Dr. Rossetti received her medical degree from The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock. She completed her general psychiatry residency at University of Kentucky in Lexington where she was chief resident. She worked at Eastern State Hospital in Kentucky treating severe and persistent mental illness. She spent most of her post graduate time providing outpatient care in a rural and underserved area of Arkansas.
Dr. Rossetti offers both medication management and therapy together in 30 and 45 minute follow-up visits. Dr. Rossetti enjoys treating adults of all ages. Her areas of interest include ADHD, Depression, Anxiety and Autism in adults. She enjoys addressing areas such as personal growth, stress management and self-care. Her treatment is patient-centered and geared toward individual healing and wellness.
Jennifer Ruch, DO

Dr. Jennifer Ruch is a board-certified psychiatrist who strives to understand her patients’ lived experiences and aspirations to develop supportive therapeutic relationships through empathetic listening, mutual trust, and respect. She collaboratively creates individualized care plans that align with personal treatment goals in a safe and judgment-free environment.
After completing her Bachelor of Science degree in Human Biology with a focus in psychology from the University of California, Merced, she earned her medical degree from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Ruch completed her General Psychiatry Residency at Arnot Ogden Medical Center in New York. Her clinical experience involves treating individuals of all age groups from diverse populations and socioeconomic backgrounds suffering from anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, psychotic disorders, neurodevelopmental disorders, and neurocognitive disorders.
She has provided care in inpatient and outpatient psychiatric facilities, the Veterans Affairs Medical Center, emergency rooms, state facilities, and an inpatient chemical dependency center. She also performed pre-procedure psychological evaluations for bariatric and spinal cord surgeries, and psychiatric consult liaison services on medical units and has clinical training in inpatient and outpatient neurology. Her clinical experience incorporated treatment modalities such as pharmacotherapy and interventional psychiatry, including Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation and Spravato.

Anastasia Ruiz, MD

Doctor Ruiz is a board-certified psychiatrist physician who specializes in psychiatric diagnosis and treatment in anxiety disorders, mood disorders, trauma and stressor related disorders, ADHD, and pregnancy related psychiatric conditions.
Dr. Ruiz received her bachelor’s degree in chemistry, graduating from the Honors College with Magna Cum Laude. She later completed four-years of medical school at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, and an additional four-years of psychiatric residency training. Dr. Ruiz has a diverse experience in psychiatry, including working in psychiatric hospitals, outpatient clinics, IOP, PHP, emergency rooms, and academic teaching. Dr. Ruiz is up to date on literature and current treatment guidelines. She has authored research publications. She has received recognition and awards including the AWP International Fellowship Award and the ADMSEP Innovations Award.
Dr. Ruiz's practice focuses on a combination of medication management and therapy, as research demonstrates that this results in better outcomes.
Samuel Russell, MD

Dr. Samuel Russell is a psychiatrist at Talkiatry. He is board certified in Addiction Psychiatry and Adult Psychiatry. His particular clinical focus is on the treatment of Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, and behavior addictions as well as trauma, mood and anxiety disorder.
Dr. Russell’s practice focuses on evidence based treatments for psychiatric illness that utilizes a combination of medications and psychotherapy modalities best suited for an individual patient and their needs. He offers this in conjunction with supportive or emotionally focused therapy in 30-minute follow-up visits. Weekly hour-long psychotherapy may be available if indicated. However, occasionally Dr. Russell may believe that different therapy is also needed and ask that you bring a therapist into your care team to provide the best outcome.
He received his medical education at the University of Washington in Seattle after completing undergraduate studies in psychology and later a post-baccalaureate at Boston University. After residency at the University of Chicago where he specialized in addiction psychiatry and psychotherapy, he completed an Addiction Psychiatry Fellowship at the University of Washington in Seattle.

Dr. Saad focuses on medication management in 30-minute follow-up visits in conjunction with supportive and emotionally focused therapy. She takes a patient-centered approach that acknowledges all the psychosocial aspects of each individual to ensure they receive the most effective treatment possible.
She received her medical degree from UMDNJ Robert Wood Johnson Medical School in Piscataway, NJ, then moved to Pennsylvania to complete her residency at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia. Upon completion of training, Dr. Saad went into private practice for 5 years in southern NJ where she treated children, adolescents, and adults with a wide array of psychiatric disorders. She then went into academic medicine at Cooper University Hospital in Camden, NJ where she served as the Associate Program Director of the Psychiatry Residency Program supervising and teaching both residents and medical students.

Jency Sachadanandam, MD

She believes that mental health is interconnected with physical well-being and that treating one aspect without the other leads to incomplete care. Her holistic approach involves medication management, psychotherapy, and lifestyle modifications to promote overall health. Jason Reece Sadeh, MD

Dr. Jason Reece Sadeh is a compassionate, highly skilled, and board-certified psychiatrist dedicated to patient care. With a blend of professionalism and a touch of levity, Dr. Sadeh brings a unique approach to psychiatry that combines expertise and a warm, relatable demeanor.
Dr. Sadeh completed his undergraduate degree at Washington University in St. Louis. He then graduated from the Sackler School of Medicine, New York Program. Dr. Sadeh completed his psychiatry residency at New York Medical College, Metropolitan Hospital, where he was selected to serve as chief resident during his final year. When not practicing psychiatry, Dr. Sadeh finds joy in pursuing various hobbies and interests, including tennis, figure skating, exploring new restaurants, and watching all things Bravo.
Dr. Sadeh specializes in psychopharmacology, especially tailoring individualized treatment to serve the needs of patients with a variety of conditions. He has a lot of experience in treating patients with ADHD, depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety disorders, eating disorders and OCD. If deemed helpful or necessary, Dr. Sadeh may recommend the addition of a therapist with whom he will collaborate in order to facilitate the best care for his patients. David Sahadevan, MD

Dr. Sahadevan took an adventurous path to Talkiatry. After perhaps thinking a little too hard about Intro to Philosophy in college - “the unexamined life is not worth living” - he first used his chemistry degree to work in pharmaceutical research. Changing course, he then worked in computer network engineering, before deciding to find a more meaningful path.
He worked as an EMT, then earned a Master’s in Physiology before finally landing in medical school at Ohio State. Finding a surprising interest in psychiatry, he stayed at Ohio State for residency, and then a fellowship in forensic psychiatry. He is board-certified in both Psychiatry and Forensic Psychiatry.
He previously worked as a forensic psychiatrist and evaluator at Ohio’s maximum-security state psychiatric facility, as an attending psychiatrist running an inpatient unit for violent or dangerous patients, performing court-ordered evaluations, writing reports, and testifying when necessary.
Dr. Sahadevan has also worked as a consultation-liaison psychiatrist, performing psychiatric consults at several general hospitals in Central Ohio’s largest hospital system.
He found great enjoyment in teaching successive generations of residents and medical students, serving as an adjunct faculty member at Ohio State, Ohio University, Wright State, and OhioHealth Riverside Methodist Hospital.

Saisha Saint-Cyr, MD

Dr. Saisha Jackson is a board-certified psychiatrist in Adult Psychiatry. She completed her undergraduate training at Hampton University followed by medical school at Michigan State University College of Human Medicine. She has completed a Residency in Psychiatry at Howard University.
She has a genuine interest in treating a vast array of psychiatric disorders including depression, anxiety, bipolar disorders, post-traumatic stress disorders and obsessive compulsive and related disorders. She specializes in psychopharmacology. Her practice focuses on medication management, and typically offers this in conjunction with supportive therapy in 30-minute follow-up visits.
Sabera Saklayen, MD

Dr. Sabera Saklayen is a board-certified psychiatrist licensed in Adult Psychiatry. She obtained her bachelor's degree from Ohio State University and her medical degree from Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine. She completed training from Stony Brook University Hospital where she served as chief resident and was a recipient of the William Turner Award for outstanding performance in psychiatry residency.
Dr. Saklayen treats all patients from ages 18 and up. She treats a variety of diagnoses including depression, bipolar disorder, generalized anxiety, panic disorder, social anxiety, OCD, insomnia, and substance use disorders, as well as those navigating difficult life circumstances or transitions. Dr. Saklayen particularly excels in treating college students. She has worked extensively with vulnerable and underserved populations at Bellevue Hospital, where she served as an outpatient psychiatrist for two years. Throughout her experience in New York City and within her own background, Dr. Saklayen has unique insight into the needs of a diverse patient population, and enjoys continuously learning and evolving with her patients.
Dr. Saklayen primarily focuses on medication management, however will often bring in integrative therapy approaches such as supportive, CBT and MI within each 30 min follow visit. If she feels more in depth therapy may be beneficial, she may refer you to a therapist on the care team to best suit your needs.

Luna Sanchez Rivera, MD

Dr. Luna Sanchez Rivera holds the position of Staff Psychiatrist at Talkiatry. After completing residency in 2016 at the Ponce Medical School Psychiatry Residency in Puerto Rico, she then moved to North Carolina to complete a subspecialty in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at Duke University Health System. There, she transitioned into an Assistant Professor position and focused on structuring the Pediatric Emergency Psychiatric Services and helped to support the Consult and Liaison Pediatric Service. Her years of experience have included working as an integrated care Child Psychiatrist within outpatient clinics at Duke University Health System, trained and worked as staff Psychiatrist at the Inpatient State Facility in North Carolina. She also served in the Dayton Children’s Hospital outpatient clinics in Dayton, Ohio, the Appalachian Health System outpatient clinics in Linville, North Carolina and more recently has been serving the Child and Adolescent inpatient population in Bangor, Maine.
Dr. Sanchez Rivera has an approachable style aimed at providing a comprehensive evaluation for all age ranges and is comfortable managing various levels of diagnostic complexities. Richard Sanders, MD

Dr. Richard Sanders was born in Akron Ohio. He has lived in Ohio for most of his life. He has a BS in psychobiology from Centre College of Kentucky, an MS in biology from Akron University, and an MD from Wright State University. He completed residency in general psychiatry at University of Pittsburgh / Western Psychiatric Institute and Clinic in 1992. He has worked with active-duty military in the US Air Force, with military veterans in the VA, and with civilians in several settings. He has been active in research and teaching throughout his career. He has published over 70 articles, letters and abstracts on psychiatric topics, and has contributed to over 50 studies of depression, anxiety, PTSD and schizophrenia. He remains active in clinical trials and resident teaching.
Aurianna Santos, MD

Dr. Santos is a psychiatrist with more than 4 years of experience practicing in a variety of settings with an emphasis on psychiatric outpatient care. She is experienced in treating several psychiatric disorders including but not limited to: Bipolar and Related Disorders, Depressive Disorders, Anxiety Disorders, Trauma and Stressor Related Disorders, Obsessive-Compulsive and Related Disorders, and Substance Related and Addictive Disorders.
Dr. Santos received her medical degree from the University of Queensland in Brisbane, Australia / Ochsner Clinical School in New Orleans, Louisiana. She completed her residency training at Louisiana State University in Shreveport, Louisiana.
Dr. Santos tailors her approach to the individual patient. She focuses on medication management and incorporates several therapeutic techniques including supportive therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, acceptance therapy and mindfulness.
Lorenzo Santos Gutierrez, MD

Dr. Santos is a highly experienced, Board-Certified Adult Psychiatrist with over 10 years of clinical experience in English and Spanish. He graduated from the Universidad Autónoma de Guadalajara School of Medicine and completed a rigorous 4-year psychiatric residency training in NYC at Lincoln Medical and Mental Health Center.
In his residency and post-residency practice, Dr. Santos has provided high-quality care to culturally diverse communities, and has extensive experience helping patients with Depression, Anxiety, ADHD, and other mental health conditions. Dr. Sinner is Board Certified in Psychiatry. He completed his psychiatry residency training at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center. He has practiced in various settings over his career including 5 years in inpatient settings in Vermont, where he also served as Medical Director for a state hospital psychiatric unit and taught medical students, followed by 5 years in an outpatient community mental health center in Pennsylvania before beginning his telepsychiatry practice serving individuals in Pennsylvania, Florida and New York.
He has more than 14 years of experience providing patients with compassionate psychiatric care treating patients with depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety, ADHD, neuropsychiatric disorders, developmental disorders and personality disorders. He uses pharmacotherapy along with cognitive behavioral therapy and supportive therapy as needed.

Jennifer Snowden, MD

Dr. Jennifer Snowden completed medical school at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock, Arkansas in 1995. She then completed a residency in general psychiatry at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia followed by a fellowship in forensic psychiatry also at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia from 1995-2000. She spent ten years practicing forensic psychiatry at a state hospital in Atlanta. She then decided that she wanted to travel and spent eighteen months as a locum tenens psychiatrist primarily practicing in New England. During this time, she met her future husband and they decided together that they eventually wanted to live in the New England area.
In 2013, she officially became a telepsychiatrist which eventually provided her with the opportunity to move to Rhode Island and practice out the home she and her husband bought there. She initially saw patients via telepsychiatry at a community mental health center in rural Georgia and later took a position as a remote consultant telepsychiatrist at Acadia Hospital in Bangor, Maine.
Dr. Snowden uses a practical and realistic approach with patients to assist them in identifying small, attainable goals and them motivating them to achieve those goals. She prefers to work with adults and relishes the opportunity to work with patients who are highly motivated for change.

Steven Solomon, DO

Dr. Solomon is a double board-certified psychiatrist in Psychiatry and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. He completed medical school in his home state at Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine where the focus on mind-body connection now fits seamlessly into holistically minded patient care. Dr. Solomon then completed General Psychiatry residency and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry fellowship at the University of Colorado, where he was Chief Fellow focused on improving resident/fellow experiences and ensuring all medical students took a firm grasp of psychiatry into their futures.
Having worked with patients across the lifespan allows Dr. Solomon to take a well-rounded approach to identifying issues with his patients, especially in the family settings. Prior to joining Talkiatry, Dr. Solomon worked in a residential treatment center for teenagers with eating disorders, gaining significant experience with challenging patients and their families.

Thomas Spina, MD

Dr. Thomas Spina is an adult psychiatrist beginning his practice at Talkiatry after completing his psychiatry residency at the Eastern Long Island branch of Stony Brook University where he treated a diverse patient population.
Dr. Spina received his undergraduate degree from St. John’s University in Queens where he studied Philosophy. Initially interested in a career in law, Dr. Spina decided to change gears and pursue a career in medicine after watching a relative struggle with her diagnosis of Diabetes Mellitus. Dr. Spina then completed medical school at Tel Aviv University in Israel, where he fell in love with psychiatry during his clerkship at Ichilov medical center. During that rotation, he came to appreciate how each patient has his or her own unique story, regardless of their diagnosis.
Dr. Spina favors a holistic and integrative approach to psychiatry, combining medication management with supportive therapy, elements of cognitive behavioral therapy, while remaining open to other treatment modalities depending on the needs of his patients. When more focused therapy is indicated, Dr. Spina may recommend that his patient work with a provider specializing in a particular modality of therapy as part of their treatment.
Dr. Spina treats adult patients with mood disorders including major depressive disorder and bipolar disorder, anxiety spectrum disorders, OCD, PTSD and specific phobias. Lawrence Stansberry IV, MD

Dr. Stansberry holds the position of staff psychiatrist at Talkiatry. He is board-certified in Adult Psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology
Dr. Stansberry’s practice focuses on medication management and also incorporates supportive therapy techniques, typically in 30-minute follow-up visits. In some cases, Dr. Stansberry may believe that additional therapy is also needed and ask that you bring a therapist into your care team.
Dr. Stansberry received his medical degree from the Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in New Orleans. He completed his residency training through the Louisiana State University/Ochsner Health Foundation Psychiatry Residency program. He has experience working in inpatient, emergency, and consult-liaison psychiatry but particularly enjoys the opportunity to work longitudinally with patients in the outpatient setting.

Marnie Stefan, MD

Dr. Stefan has vast experience in multiple psychiatric care settings including outpatient care, inpatient care, and assertive community treatment and has served as medical director for large institutions, serving a wide range of complex mental illnesses. Her main focus is patient-centered care, adapting her role to the individual needs of her patients.
Dr. Stefan was born and raised in Puerto Rico and therefore is fluent in English and Spanish. She attended medical school at the University of Puerto Rico School of Medicine. She then went on to complete her residency in Psychiatry at the University of Florida where she received accolades for her abilities as a psychotherapist.
In the many roles Dr. Stefan has held throughout the 10 years as a psychiatrist, one thing remains constant, which is her strong commitment to her patients and ensuring that she treats all aspects of the life of her patients. She is a firm believer in addressing the patient as a whole, not as a diagnosis, as every patient is unique and has their own set of psychosocial circumstances.

Dr. Mary Stephenson is a board-certified Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist with more than 25 years of clinical experience working with this population. Dr. Stephenson's practice focus is on medication management. She believes support and involvement of the family is an integral part of treatment for the client. Additionally, more therapy support may be needed on occasion, and the recommendation to bring a psychotherapist on the care team may occur to provide an optimal outcome.
She received her medical degree from Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio. She completed her psychiatry residency at the University of Louisville School of Medicine, and her child and adolescent training at the Bingham Child Guidance Center, also part of the University of Louisville, in Louisville, Kentucky. After completion of her training, she moved to Colorado where she worked at The Cleo Wallace Center, in Westminster, CO, providing care for hospitalized youth, and clients in the Day Treatment and Residential setting. In 2000, Dr. Stephenson became the primary Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist on the outpatient team at Denver Health Medical Center in Denver, Colorado. Her role was providing diagnostic evaluations, and medication management in Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs), and the hospital clinic working closely with residents, child fellows, and other trainees.

Doctor Phillip Sullivan is a staff psychiatrist at Talkiatry. He is board certified in both adult psychiatry and child and adolescent psychiatry. His interest in psychiatric treatment was originally triggered by the humanistic writings of Abraham Maslow, Carl Rogers, and Rollo May. As he earned his medical degree and started post-graduate psychiatric training, he went on to learn psycho-pharmacological, cognitive-behavioral, and psychodynamic treatment approaches. He combines these perspectives in diagnosing and treating psychiatric conditions including depression, bipolar spectrum disorders, anxiety, stress and trauma related disorders, adjustment problems, maternal mental health, OCD, ADHD and other disorders. His practice focuses on supportive pharmacological treatment, and he sees listening and empathy as essential elements of the treatment process. He strives to provide a comfortable experience in which doctor and patient work together to understand the presenting problems, develop a treatment plan, reduce symptoms, and optimize functioning. Doctor Sullivan received his MD degree from Brown University Alpert School of Medicine. After completing a medical-surgical internship, he went on to a residency in adult psychiatry and a fellowship in child and adolescent psychiatry at Harvard Medical School’s Massachusetts Mental Health Center. He has held academic appointments at Harvard Medical School and the University of New England School of Osteopathic Medicine. In the 36 years following completion of his training, he has worked as the medical director of a mental health center on the under-served Eastern Shore of Maryland, as the medical director of a child and adolescent psychiatric inpatient unit, as a staff psychiatrist at New Hampshire’s Dartmouth Hitchcock Clinic, and as the medical director of child and adolescent psychiatric services at Concord New Hampshire’s mental health center. Before joining Talkiatry he served for 18 years as the chief of psychiatry at Southern New Hampshire Medical Center where he also spent three years as the hospital’s chief of staff.
Ayanna Swinton Jamison, MD

Faizan Syed, MD

Dr. Faizan Syed is a board-certified attending psychiatrist who graduated from St. George’s University School of Medicine in 2012. He completed his residency in adult psychiatry at Creedmoor Psychiatric Center, an affiliate of Columbia University, in June 2016.
Dr. Syed was born in Karachi, Pakistan, and has lived transnationally in the United States, the Caribbean, the United Kingdom, and the Middle East throughout his life. He is currently based in Queens, NY, and alongside his professional development in his career as a psychiatrist, he has also worked to develop himself personally through writing. As a poet, essayist, and author he has been published numerous times and he maintains connections with his community via his participation in a group known as the Queens Poetic Alchemy Collective. He has spoken out publicly against the cultural stigma against mental health that has become a barrier to seeking and finding help. He has also been featured on Humans of New York.
Dr. Syed believes strongly in the power and importance of psychotherapy as part of the therapeutic process. As such, he integrates individualized psychotherapy for each patient he sees and tailors various techniques to suit each patient’s needs. He is a graduate of the Adult Psychiatry Residency Program at St. Mary Mercy Hospital in Livonia, MI. As a testament to Dr. Taquee’s desire to help patients reach their full potential, he has also completed a psychotherapy fellowship through the Michigan Psychoanalytic Institute.
Dr. Taquee believes that every patient brings their own mosaic of experiences embedded in a unique story. He understands that building a strong therapeutic relationship through empathy, compassion, trust, and respect is essential. Tetyana Tarnavsky, MD

Dr. Tetyana Tarnavsky is a board-certified psychiatrist trained in Adult Psychiatry. She attended Dnipropetrovsk State Medical Academy in Ukraine where she received her M.D., M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Psychiatry. Dr. Tarnavsky has completed her residency at Harvard South Shore Psychiatry Residency Training Program in MA where she was elected Chief Resident.
Dr. Tarnavsky has an extensive research experience in Ukraine and USA. She had studied computer addiction for her dissertation; had multiple abstracts and presentations; published several articles in peer-reviewed psychiatric journals as well as a book entitled Computer Addiction: Formation, Diagnosis, Correction and Prophylaxis. She has helped to organize international conferences with the goal to improve access and quality of healthcare in Dnipropetrovsk, Ukraine, and to provide a national model for health care reform.
Dr. Tarnavsky has worked with a variety of patients with diverse backgrounds in a Community Health Center and in the Partial Hospitalization Program as well as supervised medical students, psychiatry residents, and nurse practitioners. Ian Thistlethwaite, MD

Dr. Thistlethwaite is a board eligible adult psychiatrist and internal medicine physician. He completed his medical education and West Virginia University School of Medicine. Following completion of medical school Dr. Thistlethwaite completed residency training at WVU/Charleston Area Medical Center with a dual specialization in internal medicine and psychiatry. Dr. Thistlethwaite’s training included treatment of patients both in the inpatient and outpatient setting as well as management of patients with comorbid medical conditions. During his training Dr. Thistlethwaite became passionate about approaching patients in a holistic manner that addressed both their physical and mental health. He is especially passionate about ensuring that patients with mental health disorders are provided with appropriate general medical care as they are a marginalized and underserved group.

Tara Thompson-Felix, MD

Dr. Tara Thompson-Felix is a board-certified child, adolescent and adult psychiatrist. Dr. Thompson-Felix has specialized training in perinatal mental health and believes that improving outcomes during pregnancy and the postpartum period has a long-lasting impact on outcomes for a mother and child. She also specializes in treating a wide array of psychiatric conditions affecting children, adolescents and young adults.
Dr. Thompson-Felix’s journey into medicine started in her undergraduate studies at Rutgers University. Elizabeth Tiffany, MD

Dr Elizabeth Tiffany is a compassionate psychiatrist boarded in Psychiatry, Addiction Psychiatry, and Addiction Medicine. She completed her residency in Psychiatry and Fellowship in Addiction Psychiatry at University of Cincinnati in Ohio. Since completing fellowship in 2016, she has held several positions with the Department of Veterans’ Affairs treating veterans with addictions and other mental health conditions. She has also worked for the University of Cincinnati providing psychiatric and addictions treatment to those admitted to the hospital for other medical concerns. She is passionate about education and was the addiction psychiatry fellowship director at both Oregon Health and Science University and University of Cincinnati, assisted in training general psychiatrists at both programs, and has given talks to physicians in various specialties to promote treatment of mental health concerns.

Caitlin Tillberg, MD

Dr. Caitlin Tillberg (she/her) is a board-certified psychiatrist. She has a BA in musicology and cognitive science from Oberlin College, an MD from Quinnipiac University in Connecticut, and completed general adult psychiatry residency at Duke University.
Dr. Tillberg practices patient-centered and trauma-informed care, valuing patient autonomy and collaborative decision-making, acknowledging the burden many people carry from intersecting oppressions.
She believes therapy is important – often equally important as medication, or more – and will work together with you to make a realistic treatment plan that will fit into your life.
Dr. Tillberg also has a niche working with people with complicated relationships with their bodies, whether due to disordered eating, gender dysphoria, chronic illness/disability, or trauma. He received his Medical Doctor degree from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School and completed his residency training in general psychiatry at the University of Michigan. In his training, Dr. Tran gained extensive experience treating psychiatric disorders in diverse populations, including college students, LGBTQ+ individuals, perinatal women, veterans, and those with socioeconomic disadvantages. Dr. Dung (“Young”) Truong is board-certified in both psychiatry and family medicine. Prior to joining Talkiatry, he worked in a busy Minneapolis emergency room for 20 years. He cared for patients presenting in mental health crisis, treating their acute presentation and helping find solutions to their concerns, ranging from starting and adjusting medications to identifying and addressing contributing factors such as medical illness, substance use, and life stressors. Dr. Truong has extensive experience and can comfortably manage a wide range of illnesses and problems. He sees patients of all ages and ethnicities, including LGBTQ+ populations. He has interests in mood disorders during and after pregnancy, and immigrant and refugee mental health.
Dr. Truong’s approach is to help you ultimately feel better and move forward with a hopeful plan involving medication management, education about your illness, and therapy to manage your emotional and environmental stressors. Dr. Tsujimoto-Ryzewski has treated patients with a wide variety of diagnoses both during her residency and after her training while working at a busy private practice clinic as well as for the Veteran’s Administration.
Dr Tsujimoto-Ryzewski focuses on medication management and supportive psychotherapy. His passion for empowering patients with knowledge stems from his academic experience in psychiatry residency training. Dr. Tu's practice focuses on blending medication management together with psychotherapy. He also prioritizes collaboration with your therapist and encourages working together as a team.
Dr. Tu is a graduate of the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine where he completed an MD and PhD combined program which helped develop his “doctors as teachers” style of practice. Dr. Tu completed his psychiatry residency training at Loyola University Medical Center in Illinois. Dr. Tu served as an Associate Program Director of Loyola’s Psychiatry residency training program for two years, and now maintains an Affiliate Assistant Professor of Psychiatry role with Loyola. He continues to contribute to residency training, as well as mentorship of medical students and psychology externs. Over the years, Dr. Tu has received several awards that demonstrate his affinity for teaching, including the Educator of the Year Award in 2022 from the Loyola Psychiatry Residency Program.

Dr. Tusken provides evidence-based, patient-centered care and considers a trusting doctor patient relationship integral to helping her patients achieve their treatment goals. During training, Dr. Tusken gained extensive experience in inpatient, consult, emergency room, and outpatient practice settings with culturally and socioeconomically diverse patient populations. Gregory Marc Varhely, MD

He grew up in Austin, Texas, and attended Texas State University, where he earned a BA in Psychology and a Master’s degree in Biology/Biochemistry. After graduating from medical school at Ross University, he completed his residency in Psychiatry at the Medical College of Wisconsin.
Dr. Varhely has served as an outpatient psychiatrist at the Department of Veteran’s Affairs and acted as an attending physician for resident psychiatrists at Texas A&M and UT Dell Medical Schools. He then acted as a sole proprietor of an outpatient psychiatric medication management and psychotherapy practice in Georgetown, Texas and later started contracting for North Central Health Care Mental Health Clinic, applying psychotropic medication management expertise to community-based treatment facilities in Wisconsin.

Dr. Vital-Daley's academic background is rooted in science, with an undergraduate degree in biochemistry and molecular biology from the University of California, Merced. She then pursued her medical doctorate at the Medical University of the Americas. Following medical school, she completed her psychiatry residency training. The first two years were spent at East Carolina University, Brody School of Medicine, with a culmination of her last two year of residency at Allegheny Health Network in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, to further specialize in women’s mental health, which solidified her expertise in this vital area.
At Allegheny Health Network's Women's Behavioral Health clinic, Dr. Vital-Daley honed her skills in treating a range of conditions, including depression, anxiety, PTSD, OCD, bipolar disorder, and related issues and served as a medical provider for their intensive perinatal/postpartum outpatient clinic. He has received numerous awards and honors throughout the tri-state area, including the Top Doctor Award in 2018. Dr. Wagener-Sobrero specializes in treating patients with anxiety, bipolar disorder, depression, trauma, personality disorders and ADHD. Wendi Waits, MD

Dr. Waits is board certified in General Psychiatry, Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, and Lifestyle Medicine. She is a military veteran and has served innumerous leadership and academic positions over the course of her career, primarily in hospital-based settings and during combat tours in Iraq and Afghanistan.

In addition to being thoroughly trained in psychopharmacology, Dr. Watkins has also received extensive training in psychotherapy. From traditional psychodynamic therapy to the more modern mindfulness-based Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Dr. Watkins takes the approach which best serves his patients. In addition to being trained in a variety of therapies, Dr. Watkins also employs a positive psychiatry approach which, as well as addressing a patient’s symptoms, also focuses on their strengths and how they can be used to overcome adversity.
Prior to pursuing a career in psychiatry, Dr. Watkins was a high school math teacher, and prior to that, he was an NCAA Division I college athlete. Dr. Weasen provides a combination of medication management and supportive psychotherapy. She obtained her medical degree in Osteopathic Medicine from West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine and completed residency at Palm Beach Consortium for Graduate Medical Education in Tamarac, Florida. Dr. Webb is currently board-certified under the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. After completing training, Dr. Webb worked as an Attending psychiatrist with the Department of Veteran Affairs in Miami, FL. She also served as an attending psychiatrist and mentor for residents in training with the University of Miami, Florida International University and University Hospital and Medical Center in Tamarac, FL.

Dr. Sophie Weinberg is a double board‐certified child, adolescent, and adult psychiatrist. She completed her General Psychiatry residency at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY, and her fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at Nassau University Medical Center in Long Island, NY.
Dr. Weinberg’s approach is patient-centered, collaborative, and holistic, emphasizing the importance of a healthy diet, sleep, exercise, and other pleasurable activities to heal the body and mind.
Dr. Weinberg has expertise in treating numerous health conditions, from mood disorders to anxieties and traumas, as well as ADHD and sleep issues. Dr. Weinberg is also LGBTQIA friendly.

Dr. Wellin's practice focuses on medication management in conjunction with supportive psychotherapy in 30-minute follow-up visits. She encourages a team approach involving psychotherapists, medical doctors, and parents and family when appropriate, to provide holistic care for optimal outcomes.
Dr. Wellin received her medical degree from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, in Bronx NY. She did her residency in adult psychiatry at Jacobi Hospital Department of Psychiatry in Bronx NY. Her fellowship in child and adolescent psychiatry at Columbia University St Luke's-Roosevelt Hospital NYC followed. For the last 5 years she was an Assistant Clinical Professor at the Adolescent Health Center of Mt Sinai Hospital NY. During this period she was also a consulting psychiatrist at the McShane Center for Psychological Services at Pace University.
Dr. Wellin trained at the Psychoanalytic Institute at NYU. She was certified in hypnosis by NYSEPH in NYC and she has also received training in EMDR. Dr. Wellin worked at a NYC rehab for substance abusers and was the medical director of a private program for children of substance abusers and their families. Her primary current focus is on adolescents and college-aged patients.
Robert Werner, MD

Dr. Blake Werner is an adult and addiction psychiatry board certified physician who has been in practice for the past 4 years. He received his medical degree from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in Lubbock, TX, before moving to charming Charleston, SC to complete his residency in adult psychiatry. Following residency, Dr. Werner navigated his way to the northeast to complete a fellowship in addiction psychiatry at Yale School of Medicine. Post-fellowship, Dr. Werner joined the Yale faculty as an assistant professor and was employed through the Veterans Affairs, treating substance use disorders in an outpatient clinical setting. Through his clinical practice, Dr. Werner has worked with a variety of patients across the northeast via telemedicine to treat their general mental health concerns, substance use disorders, as well as behavioral addictions.
While Dr. Werner’s clinical practice post residency has primarily focused on substance use disorders, he has spent the last couple of years on the inpatient psychiatric setting, assisting patients with a wide variety of mental health conditions as well as enjoying time working with residents and medical students. In his role as a psychiatrist, Dr. Werner enjoys working collaboratively with patients to develop a beneficial and effective treatment plan aimed at fostering emotional well-being. Robert Whelpley, MD

Dr. Robert Whelpley M.D. is board-certified in both Child and Adolescent and Adult Psychiatry. He attended Binghamton University for undergraduate studies and completed Medical School at Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, New York. He went on to complete Residency and Fellowship training at University of Rochester. He has worked with patients and families across the life span in a wide spectrum of settings including Inpatient, a variety of outpatient, and emergency settings.
Dr. Whelpley believes in collaborative care between treatment providers, patients, and families. In that frame, we can address the patient’s problems as a team working together toward a common treatment goal. He uses talk therapy including motivational interviewing, cogitative behavioral, mindfulness, and supportive psychotherapeutic approaches in combination with medication management. This combination, sometimes in conjunction with a therapist, works on maximizing mental health and wellness.

Dr. John Whittier is a board-certified psychiatrist specializing in the treatment of depression, anxiety, adjustment disorders, PTSD, insomnia, bipolar disorder, and ADHD.
Dr. Whittier is primarily focused on medication management of general psychiatric conditions. He approaches each client as an individual, using the one-hour initial intake to get a comprehensive look at each person’s unique needs. From there he works with his clients to provide options and flexibility in the treatment plan utilizing a combination of supportive therapy, medications, and evidence-based alternative therapies. Follow-ups typically last 20 to 30 minutes with the goal to evaluate the treatment plan and adjust accordingly. He also maintains a psychodynamic psychotherapy panel for hour-long appointments where he works with his clients to understand developmental and relational patterns that contribute to their symptoms.
Dr. Whittier attended the University of Colorado at Boulder for a Bachelor of Arts in Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology prior to obtaining his master’s degree in Medical Science at Loyola University Chicago. He completed his training in medicine at the Robert Larner, M.D. College of Medicine at The University of Vermont and then returned to Colorado to attend residency in psychiatry at the University of Colorado School of Medicine. He specialized in the psychotherapy scholars program there and has4 years of experience treating psychiatric conditions through telehealth.
Michele Wiener, MD

Dr. Michele Wiener is a psychiatrist with over 35 years of experience treating patients with mental health issues. Dr. Wiener's practice has historically focused on treating patients with varying mood disorders, anxiety disorders, psychotic disorders, and post-traumatic stress disorder, often complicated by substance use disorders.
Dr. Wiener enjoys working with patients of all ages. She is skilled in both psychotherapy and medication management. While the emphasis will generally be on medication management, Dr Wiener will utilize insight-oriented, cognitive behavioral, and supportive psychotherapy skills to help her patients reach their treatment goals. She completed her internship at Bronx Lebanon Hospital, her residency at Montefiore Medical Center and a two-year fellowship in biological psychiatry, psychopharmacology and geriatric psychiatry at Albert Einstein College of Medicine.
She served for over 20 years as Chief of Psychiatric Services for Behavioral Health Services at St Johns Riverside Hospital Park Care Pavilion formerly Yonkers General Hospital. Here she was also able to enjoy teaching medical students from The Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in their psychiatric rotation. She has been Assistant Medical Director for Arms Acres, in Carmel NY for over five years.

Dr. Wilbur completed his psychiatry residency training and addiction psychiatry fellowship training at Yale School of Medicine. His practice focuses on medication management, typically offered in conjunction with supportive therapy in 30-minute follow-up visits.
Dr. Wilbur has an interest in treating patients with a wide range of psychiatric conditions including but not limited to depression, anxiety, obsessive compulsive disorder, trauma- and stressor-related disorders, and bipolar disorders. He also has experience treating psychiatric conditions in patients experiencing co-occurring medical illness.
Dr. Wilbur believes that successful treatment begins with mutual trust between a patient and their doctor. He uses a warm, nonjudgmental, and collaborative approach. Shantale Williams-Jules, MD

Dr. Williams-Jules is an adult psychiatrist who focuses primarily on medication management in conjunction with supportive therapy. She completed her undergraduate training at Spelman College in Atlanta, GA followed by her masters in public health degree at New York Medical College. She has completed medical school at American University of Antigua and finished her residency in psychiatry at the University of Texas Southwestern. Dr. Williams-Jules has a passion for treating adults with mental health disorders, especially within the perinatal population. She has a genuine interest in management of trauma, while also treating a vast array of disorders including depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder and posttraumatic stress disorder. She has worked with clients of varying cultures and demographics, and has experience with treating patients with medical comorbidities.
Dr. Williams-Jules takes a delicate approach to diagnosis and management and believes in holistic care, which incorporates mindfulness and deep breathing techniques to address the

Dr. Wilt enjoys spending time getting to know her patients and working hand in hand with them to accurately diagnose and treat the symptoms they are experiencing.
