Taylor Jarrett, LMHC

Taylor Jarrett is a psychotherapist who holds a Masters degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Taylor is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in the state of New York and a National Certified Counselor (NCC). Prior to her work with Talkiatry, Taylor served as a mental health clinician and supervisor with an OMH Article 31 clinic in the Bronx, providing psychotherapy and care to children, adolescents, adults and families.
Taylor’s therapeutic approach is person-centered and trauma-informed. Taylor keenly understands there is not a ‘one-size-fits’ all approach to treatment and meets each client where they are. She individualizes each client's care by utilizing a variety of evidence-based treatment interventions, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Interpersonal Psychotherapy, and Trauma-Focused CBT.

Joshua Johnson, LPC

Joshua T. Johnson is a National Certified Counselor and Licensed Professional Counselor, with licenses in Georgia, DC, and Texas. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in English with a minor in Psychology from Tougaloo College and a Master of Education in Counseling from Mississippi College.
With over a decade of experience, Joshua has worked in diverse mental health settings, providing compassionate care to a broad range of clients. He began his career in Atlanta, offering evidence-based treatment to families of children on probation and transitioning from juvenile detention. He further developed his expertise in acute psychiatric care as a group counselor in New Jersey and a social worker at in Trenton. His experience includes working with adolescents facing behavioral and legal challenges and adults dealing with trauma, mood disorders, psychotic disorders, and substance abuse. He also provided inpatient therapy services at HCA Medical Center of Trinity in Florida.
Joshua specializes in CBT, DBT, and other tailored evidence-based methods. He fosters a safe and supportive environment, encouraging clients to navigate life's challenges with resilience and confidence. Danielle LaBarre is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Licensed Professional Counselor (LMHC and LPC) in New York, Virginia, and Georgia. Danielle has over 6 years of experience working with adults seeking help with anxiety, depression, stress, grief, life transitions, LGBTQ+ issues, and trauma.
Danielle received her Master of Science in Mental Health Counseling from Long Island University following receiving a Bachelor or Arts in Psychology from Mount Saint Mary College. She wholeheartedly believes in person-centered care, and focuses on meeting you where you are and taking you where you want to be. Her treatment approaches include mindfulness techniques, cognitive/ dialectical behavioral skills (CBT, DBT), psychodynamic, as well as compassion and strength-based approaches. Renee LaRock-Gary, LMHC

Renee LaRock-Gary is a licensed mental health counselor in New York State. She has extensive experience working in an array of settings from crisis to office settings; with children to adults; and with individuals to groups. She graduated magna cum laude with a masters from SUNY Plattsburgh and has a current certification as an Integrative Sex and Couples Therapist and several past certifications in a variety of areas including anxiety, grief, and substance abuse. Renee’s specialty is trauma and she worked for a decade exclusively with survivors of sexual trauma. Overall, she has over 30 years of experience in the human and social services field and has held a variety of positions including LGBTQ Teen outreach worker, domestic violence counselor, manager at a halfway house, to name a few.
An eternal learner, Renee regularly participates in ongoing training in a variety of areas in order to keep abreast of the most updated knowledge in the mental health field. Primarily she utilizes CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) and/or DBT (Dialectical Behavioral Therapy) to help people reach their goals, she often brings in other modalities to fit a person’s individual needs.
Alicia Lakin, LPC

Alicia Lakin has been counseling for over 20 years. She possesses an LPC-MHSP license. Alicia earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology at the University of Tennessee. She then went on to earn her Master’s Degree, with a focus on Guidance and Counseling, at Lincoln Memorial University. Alicia has been trained in Trauma Focused – Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and Motivational Interviewing.
Alicia’s professional career has provided her with the opportunity to work with individuals in a variety of settings. She has provided treatment in residential care programs for children and adolescents, in the family home, community based mental health center, and substance abuse treatment outpatient services. In these settings, Alicia has been afforded the opportunity to treat all ages, dealing with a wide range of issues including trauma, substance abuse and recovery, and mood disorders such as anxiety, depression and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).
Therapeutically, Alicia describes her approach as “person-centered”, strength-based, and collaborative. She believes in providing a safe space for individuals to be able to express themselves openly, as well as explore any changes they desire to make in their lives. She believes in building a trusting relationship so that she and the individual can work together to help create change. Her style is reality based, and she views herself having many roles as a therapist including that of a support, teacher, advocate, facilitator, and listener in the treatment relationship.
Tania Majette, LCSW

Tania Majette is currently serving adults for individual therapy. She has 15 years of experience in providing counseling services to diverse populations, including at risk youth, rural healthcare, and U.S. Veterans. She earned a Bachelor of Social Work, Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, and Master of Social Work from the University of South Florida.
Tania’s most recent experience has been in providing psychotherapy and evaluation services to U.S. Veterans suffering from co-occurring substance use and mental health disorders. She has previous experience as a Behavioral Health Program Director for an integrated care medical practice in a rural community and a Clinical Supervisor to other Social Workers while providing therapy to a wide variety of clients from different backgrounds and ages. Tania’s treatment modality styles are primarily CBT, Solution Focused Therapy, and Psychodynamic Therapy. She is also experienced in implementing these modalities within a trauma-centered and/or faith-based approach.
Tania specializes in treating a wide range of diagnostic and psychosocial concerns, including the following: depression, anxiety, trauma, work related stress, spirituality, racial issues, and interpersonal stress. Through her years of experience as a therapist, Tania has endorsed believing people need to be honored as experts of their own life experiences and should be free to share this without judgment or minimization.
Jessica Mars,

Jessica Mars is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and has worked in clinical practice for over 10 years. Jessica received her undergraduate degree in Social Work at Colorado State University-Pueblo and her master’s degree in social work from Newman University. Along with her clinical work Jessica teaches undergraduate and graduate students of Social Work at University of Colorado, Colorado Springs because she values being able to work in her local communities to educate and teach. She identifies as a lifelong learner and incorporates that into her treatment approaches.
Jessica has primarily focused her clinical practices working with individuals who have experienced intimate partner violence, sexual assault, trauma from medical or physical health problems, substance use, and other forms of trauma. Her approach is culturally aware, trauma informed, and client centered, and she will work closely with her clients to ensure that the treatment approach and plan is thoughtful and matches what the client may need.
Jessica has extended training in EMDR, TF-CBT, CBT, DBT, narrative therapy, motivational interviewing, developmental trauma, suicidality, and trauma informed care. Jessica will encourage you to increase your awareness of thoughts, feelings and behaviors in the present and to increase your personal sense of freedom and well-being. Nicole Martinez, LCPC

Dr. Nicole Martinez received her Master’s and Doctorate from the Illinois School of Professional Psychology and completed her pre-doctoral and post-doctoral fellowship at Gateway Foundation in Lake Villa, Illinois. She earned a double major in Psychology and Therapeutic Recreation at the University of St. Francis. Dr. Martinez has extensive experience working with children, adolescents, and adults in individual, family, and group treatment. Her therapeutic approach is integrative, combining Cognitive Behavioral Psychotherapy (CBT) with holistic methods, emphasizing Solution Focused Therapy, Reality Therapy, and Positive Psychology. She believes in the mind-body connection and that exploring various areas of an individual’s functioning is essential for optimum physical and emotional health. Lisa May is a Licensed Professional Counselor, Mental Health Service Provider (LPC-MHSP) who has extensive experience working in the mental health field. Lisa has worked with clients of various demographics who are living with a variety of mental health conditions. Lisa attended Lindsey Wilson College where she attained her Master’s in Mental Health Counseling and Morehead State University where she graduated with a bachelor’s degree in social work. She has worked with DCS, foster care, and had a private practice in KY before deciding to move to Tennessee.
Lisa has been practicing for over 10 years and has worked in other areas of mental health since 1997. Working with Lisa, treatment is tailored for the individual, as there is great effort put into choosing the treatment modality that fits the individual’s personal struggles. Lisa uses the three C’s (catching, checking, and changing) approach with a foundation in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy intertwined with Mindfulness. She also prefers the person-centered focus as to work specifically with the individual and the struggles they may be facing.
Ellie McCormick, LMHC

Ellie McCormick is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with a variety of experience working in the mental health field. Ellie has worked with clients of various demographics as well as wide range of mental health conditions. Ellie attended undergraduate school in Gettysburg, PA, and graduate school in Seattle, WA, including an internship with the King County Department of Public Defense, helping those involuntarily hospitalized with acute diagnoses. They love learning and growing along with their clients.
Ellie has been practicing for 4 years as a Clinical Mental Health Counselor, heavily focusing on the LGBTQ+ population. They have extensive experience with transgender and non-binary individuals, as well as diagnoses such as Anxiety, Depression, ADHD, and PTSD.
Ellie relies strongly on a person-centered approach, working collaboratively with clients on goals and directions for therapy. Ellie strongly believes clients are the experts on themselves, and their role is more like that of a guide.
Jenna McDonald, LMHC

Jenna McDonald is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in New York State who has extensive experience working in the mental health field. Jenna attended undergraduate school in Amherst, NY , graduate school in Buffalo, NY, and completed internship programs during her time there at both schools. Jenna continues to obtain knowledge through regular trainings and certifications that interest her, including EMDR.
Jenna has worked directly with many different kinds of clients, who have experienced an array of mental health concerns at all levels. Jenna also has experience in working with comorbid disorders that can at times go hand-in-hand such as anxiety & depression, or homelessness & substance use. Jenna has been working in mental and behavioral health for approximately 10 years and continued after being fully licensed, which required 3000 hours of supervised experience as well. As an LMHC , Jenna likes to focus on helping those with anxiety, depression, relationship/employment concerns, and overall transitions of life ( school/work/medical issues/moving stressors etc), which may hinder daily life. Working with Jenna, treatment is tailored to the individual client in order to choose the treatment plan that fits that individual’s personal struggles.

Shannon utilizes humanistic, person-centered, collaborative, strength based, cognitive behavioral, mindfulness based, solution focused and emotionally focused approaches to therapy while maintaining an open, flexible, creative atmosphere to remain aware of the unique and individual needs of each client. Jannise McKamey-Bruell, LPC

Jannise McKamey-Bruell began her career working in the field of education after she completed both a Bachelor of Liberal Arts and a Master of Liberal Arts at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville with an emphasis on Psychology, Women’s Studies, and Child and Family Studies.
After relocating to Georgia, Ms. McKamey-Bruell attended Argosy University where she completed an additional Master of Arts Degree, with honors, in Community Counseling in addition to receiving a Marriage and Family Therapy Certification. Ms. McKamey-Bruell is a National Certified Counselor (NCC), a Distance Certified Counselor (DCC), a Board Certified Tele-Mental Health Provider (BC-TMH), and holds a Crisis Worker Certification from the American Association of Suicidology. Ms. McKamey-Bruell is also a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) for Cobb County Juvenile Court.
Prior to private practice, her clinical experience included working as a therapist at the YWCA, providing domestic violence and sexual assault counseling, facilitating domestic violence support and therapy groups, working with children and families at several community mental health agencies, and working at a mental health crisis line. She received her MA in Mental Health Counseling from South University in West Palm Beach, Florida. She has worked as a counselor, Social Service Coordinator and Social Service Manager for a Florida non-profit agency servicing adolescents and their families, helping to overcome barriers to communication, education and future success.
Tamara has focused her work on clients struggling with trauma, depression, anxiety and mood disorder. She has also worked with teens struggling with eating disorders and issues specific to the LBGTQ population. She has a special interest in families coping with Autism and other special needs.
Meredith McMillan, LMHC

Meredith McMillan is a Licensed Mental Health Therapist with 9 years of experience working in mental health. She specializes in working with individuals who experienced trauma and toxic stress, as well as those with addiction issues, relationship challenges, and adjustment disorders.
Ms. McMillan's therapy practice focuses on providing person-centered encouragement and support. She utilizes a trauma-focused cognitive behavioral approach to help you to develop your understanding of yourself and your challenges and enable you to utilize your strengths to facilitate your healing.
She received a Master's Degree in Counseling Psychology from Palm Beach Atlantic University in Orlando, Florida, and established herself as a therapist working in community mental health in the Lakeland, Florida area. She spent several years working at Tri-County Human Services providing co-occurring outpatient substance abuse therapy. Later she shifted into providing services to children through Tri-County’s B-Net program and Children’s Home Society. She went on to become the Clinical Supervisor at the Children's Home Society providing care to children and adolescents impacted by trauma and the child welfare system. Before joining Talkiatry she also served as the Clinical Supervisor and therapist at The Mary Welsh Foundation providing care to individuals of all ages, and again specializing in trauma and family issues.
Ms. McMillan has worked with individuals dealing with a variety of mental health issues throughout her years of experience as a therapist. She has worked with all ages and has experience working with families and couples as well. She has had additional training to serve individuals dealing with addictions and with processing trauma. She has had extensive experience working with individuals dealing with mood disorders and anxiety, as well as relationship and parenting issues.
Kelvin McMorris, LISW

Kelvin is an experienced Licensed Independent Social Worker who has worked in a variety of clinical and non-clinical settings. Kelvin’s years of experience include work as a case manager, mental health therapist, substance use and mental health group facilitator, a lead clinician for a school-based services program and coordinator for adventure-based programming. This experience has allowed Kelvin to serve in a variety of settings, including: schools, homes, hospitals, and outpatient clinics as well as working with individuals from nearly every age range; anywhere from kindergarten-aged school children to adults in a nursing home and almost everywhere in between.
Kelvin places great importance on making treatment a unique experience for every individual, strongly believing that there is no single uniform answer to an individual’s problems and solutions should be tailored to that person’s specific life circumstances. Kelvin has a foundation in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, but utilizes practices as appropriate from a variety of treatment styles, including Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Trauma-Informed Care, Behavioral Activation, Play Therapy and many more.

Tara Merchant is a person-centered, nonjudgmental, relationship-based LMHC (licensed mental health counselor) who recognizes the intrinsic value of all people and holds positive regard for all her clients. Tara views counseling as a collaborative effort by providing psychoeducation and coping skills for the obstacles with which clients may be struggling, and clients provide insights as the experts on themselves. Jennifer Millar, LMFT

Jennifer R. Millar, MA, LMFT, is a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with over eight years of experience helping individuals, couples, and families navigate complex emotional challenges. She holds a Master’s in Marriage & Family Therapy from NorthCentral University and has extensive training in various therapeutic modalities, including Psychodynamic Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and EMDR.
Jennifer specializes in trauma recovery, particularly for women who have experienced narcissistic abuse in relationships. Her therapeutic approach is holistic and client-centered, integrating genogram assessments to explore family dynamics and attachment patterns. Jennifer’s unique combination of professional expertise and personal insight into narcissistic abuse allows her to provide deep empathy and effective strategies for healing.
In addition to her work with trauma survivors, Jennifer has successfully supported clients through issues such as anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, and self-esteem. Her practice is rooted in fostering emotional growth, enhancing communication, and guiding clients toward healthier, more fulfilling lives.
Jennifer is licensed in Florida, Indiana, New Jersey, and New York, and she offers teletherapy through her practice, Begin Healing Within. She is also EMDR-trained, offering specialized treatment for trauma and PTSD.

progress in becoming and feeling the best version of themselves in any new chapter they may
be experiencing.
Throughout her career, Melinda has worked primarily in nonprofit and private practice settings.
She is known for her empathetic listening, non-judgmental attitude, and ability to build rapport and trust to create a safe and supportive environment for her clients so they can find their voice and be truly heard and understood.
Melinda is committed to ongoing professional development and regularly attends workshops and conferences to stay current with the latest advancements in mental health treatment. She is also an active member of the National Association of Social Workers (NASW).

Corinne Motto is a Licensed Professional Counselor, who has experience with a variety of populations in the mental health field. Corinne attended undergraduate school at the University of Pittsburgh, and her Masters of Arts at Seton Hill University, both in Greensburg Pennsylvania.
Corinne has been practicing for more than fifteen years as an outpatient therapist in a variety of settings. Her focus has been on but not limited to depression, anxiety, domestic violence and other mental health conditions. Corinne uses a client centered approach and tailors her sessions towards the client’s needs. She uses a foundation of cognitive behavioral and dialectical behavioral therapy. She believes that self-care is an important part of the therapy process.

Eyerusalem Mulatu practices as a Licensed Professional Counselor, Chemical Dependency Counselor, and Certified Clinical Trauma Professional. She has a sub specialization of working with clients who are 1st/2nd generation Americans or immigrants and struggling with issues related to acclimatizing to America and intergenerational trauma. She is also a sex positive therapist and a queer affirming therapist who provides clients a safe space to explore their gender and sexual concerns.
Maria has been trained in several different therapeutic approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Schema Therapy, Dialectic Behavioral Therapy and Solution Focused Therapy. She generally adopts a Gestalt and Existential approach towards all clients and incorporates different skills needed for each individual. She enjoys working with individuals who are figuring out their purpose in life and helping others develop their own identity. Kate Niewiarowicz is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor who has experience working with young adults and adults with a wide range of mental health struggles. Kate has over 3 years’ experience working in a hospital setting treating serious mental illness (SMI), as well as private practice experience. Kate received both her undergraduate and graduate degrees from Iona University in New York.
Kate’s approach to therapy is working as a team with her clients to form a genuine therapeutic relationship in a supportive, compassionate, and non-judgmental environment. Kate specializes in treating anxiety, depression, relationship issues, self-esteem, women’s issues, and supporting clients through various life transitions.
Kate utilizes many different treatment techniques to provide personalized treatment which include cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral therapy (DBT), strength-based therapy, solution focused therapy, and positive psychology. Kate will work alongside her clients to assist in developing coping skills, techniques, and solutions to help reach her clients goals.
Barbara Pack, LPCC

Barbara (Barb) Pack is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor with the Supervision Endorsement and a Licensed Independent Chemical Dependency Counselor, Clinical Supervisor Endorsement who has been providing mental health treatment for over 24 years and addiction treatment for over 27 years. Barb utilizes a combination of approaches in working with her clients including person-centered, cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, solution focused techniques and a variety of other techniques. She has experience in several different types of treatment settings and treatment modalities in both Ohio and Florida. Barb enjoys working with individuals who also have co-occurring disorders, both mental health and substance use. Barb has experience working with a wide range of age groups and mental health issues including but not limited to depression, anxiety, trauma, stress management, grief, relationship issues, and a wide range of substance use issues. She will assess individuals' needs in their first few visits and work with them to develop an individualized treatment plan. Barb works to provide the empathetic listening and emotional support that her clients need to reach their goals. Her dream has been to work herself out of a job, as she wants to help her clients find healing and happiness. Barb attended University of Akron for graduate school in a Community Counseling Program and attended Malone College now University and majored in Psychology.
Kendrah Parker, LMHC

After graduating from the University of Northern Iowa in 2014, Kendrah worked at a non-profit organization that focused on substance abuse and mental health. She worked there from 2014-2021 initially as a substance abuse counselor and later transitioned into a Clinical Director position. Most recently, Kendrah has been serving patients in a private practice mental health therapist role.
Kendrah’s interests and specialties are Trauma, Anxiety, Depression, Marriage and Family, Culture and Diversity, Dual Diagnosis, Meditation and Dating Violence/Abuse. She also has interest in Self Image/Self-Esteem and Addictive Behaviors with Substance Use and Gambling.
