Emily Payma is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. She has a warm, non-judgmental approach to therapy and provides person-centered and strength-based services to her clients. She has years of experience working with clients who are experiencing Anxiety, Depression, Grief and Loss, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, Autism Spectrum Disorder, as well as other mental health concerns. As a licensed clinical social worker, Emily believes that therapy is most impactful when it is tailored to each person’s unique needs and concerns. She utilizes a combination of somatic therapy, motivational interviewing, and narrative therapy in her work.
Emily’s approach is geared toward helping clients acquire the necessary skills to meet and maintain their goals. Emily earned her Master’s of Social Work degree from the University of Michigan in 2012 and is licensed in both Texas and Florida. She has worked in a variety of different therapy settings including home-based services, hospitals, private practice, and non-profit organizations. Through this range of experience, Emily understands how important it is to provide a safe and caring environment in which clients feel truly accepted and supported.
Paul Pennington, LPC

Paul Pennington is a Licensed Professional Counselor with over 15 years of mental health experience in a variety of settings ranging from schools, private practice, residential facilities, and crime scene crisis counseling. Paul has had the privilege of helping people with various situations including depression, anxiety, stress, anger, trauma, abuse, life transitions, relationships, integration, existential issues, and other obstacles that have caused an imbalance in their lives. Paul specializes in working with teachers, first responders, young parents, and individuals that just want to be seen as who they truly are.
Paul earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a minor in Sociology from Texas State University and a Master of Education in Guidance and Counseling from Angelo State University. Huong "Claire" Phan is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with the New York State Education Department Office of the Professions and a Licensed Professional Counselor with the Texas State Board of Examiners of Professional Counselors. Claire completed her Master's in Mental Health Counseling at Brooklyn College, City University of New York.
Claire has been practicing for 5 years as a licensed therapist providing counseling for mood disorders, obsessive compulsive disorder, prolonged grief disorder, adjustment disorders, women's issues, and also helping clients navigate relationship difficulties and other challenges.
Claire completed her clinical internship and worked as a therapist at the Institute for Human Identity, one of the first psychotherapy centers in New York to provide LGBTQ+ affirmative psychotherapy. Claire is passionate about serving the LGBTQ+ community and providing a safe space for her clients regardless of differences in gender identity, expression, sexual orientation, race, and culture.
Claire practices with a holistic approach that incorporates cognitive behavioral, dialectical behavioral, and mindfulness-based therapy techniques to help clients gain awareness, practice acceptance, and foster resiliency. Ian Provo is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who is also certified in Complex Trauma treatment. He has held a clinical license for 27 years where he has worked in a number of capacities as a mental health professional including, Clinical Director, Director of Treatment, private practice, direct care services and case management. Ian completed his Bachelors degree from Arizona State University and his Masters Degree from the University of Illinois. Ian is passionate about his work and believes strongly in the human potential and resilience in
overcoming life’s obstacles and barriers. His therapeutic model focuses on multidimensional modalities including, cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodynamic model, psychoeducational approaches and mindfulness techniques. Ian has vast experience in working with victims of sexual abuse and trauma in addition to treating anxiety, depression, ADHD, PTSD and providing couple’s therapy.In addition to his professional work, Ian is actively engaged in volunteer work where he helps victims of sexual human trafficking, providing clinical assessments and engaging in public awareness campaigns. He recently composed, produced and directed and anti-human trafficking music video for an organization.

She earned a Bachelor of Science at Florida Atlantic University, completed a Master of Science at Florida International University and a Doctorate in Psychology at Walden University.
During her internship at Youth Automotive Training Center and The Humanistic Center for Counseling Services, Dr. Rea worked with individuals, families, couples, first responders and high-risk populations, having the opportunity to work with a variety of clients. As a professional, Dr. Rea gained valuable experience working in inpatient and outpatient programs and settings.
Dr. Rea has a passion in helping clients heal from depression, anxiety, mood disorders, psycho-spiritual and relationship challenges. She believes open, empathetic understanding and taking a collaborative approach are the keys to a client-centered practice, and an important part of the healing and wellness of clients.
In addition to Dr. Rea's clinical practice, she loves the ocean, enjoying photography, SCUBA diving, participating in beach clean-ups, and spending time with her family, dog and cat.

Payton Reid is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, who received her bachelors and masters degree in West Palm Beach, Florida and has also lived in New York City.
Payton has worked in private practice, community mental health, psychiatric facilities, and substance use treatment, with a focus in crisis intervention for the past 8 years. She specializes in treating trauma/PTSD, anxiety, mood disorders, and perinatal mental health issues. Payton’s work in crisis intervention has allowed for her to treat a multitude of psychiatric disorders and feel comfortable working with all populations within the field.

Tiffany Reilly is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with 8 years of experience providing therapeutic services to children, adolescents, and families in Seattle and New York City. She received her Master’s in Counseling from Northwest University in 2015.
Before coming to Talkiatry, Tiffany worked as a Family Therapist and Supervisor at Children’s Aid. This role gave her experience navigating the complexities of adolescence, young adulthood, marriage, and other interpersonal stressors. She was also able to pursue additional trainings in motivational interviewing, trauma systems, and LGBTQIA supportive counseling.
Tiffany focuses on treating mood and anxiety disorders, as well as the complexities of grief and loss. She has additional experience working with trauma, conduct disorder, ODD, and personality disorders. Michelle Shya, Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) at Talkiatry, has provided care in the field for almost a decade. Working with individuals and families, she has connected and fostered ties with a broad spectrum of clients, including adolescent, adult, and geriatric services. Michelle's practice style centers on providing a safe and understanding space for clients to share, learn, identify, and address their unique therapeutic needs. Using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Michelle focuses on the relationships between thoughts, emotions, and behaviors to assist the client discover their personal strengths and motivation to best realize their individual life goals.
Michelle completed her undergraduate Social Work education at Millersville University. Later at Marywood University, she earned her Master in Social Work, with a specialization in Child and Family Practice. Michelle has had a wide variety of experiences working as a Social Worker in therapeutic and social service settings. She has provided case management and therapeutic care in domestic violence shelters, treatment foster care, community organizations, and hospice in-home support. In Michelle's experience in providing therapy, she has maintained a generalist practice, working with a variety of individuals facing personal barriers and challenges. By taking a step-by-step therapeutic approach, the client is able to better understand and process their thoughts as well as feelings to drive actionable change.
Jill Sinnott, LCSW
Staff Therapist
Jill Sinnott is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. She has practiced in Tennessee for over ten years, in a variety of roles including comprehensive child and family therapy, mobile crisis, and group-based Alcohol and Drug treatment. Most recently, she worked in community mental health for five and a half years. In this role, she focused on individual therapy with clients of all ages.
Jill obtained her Bachelor’s Degree from Warren Wilson College in Swannanoa, NC, and her Master’s of Science in Social Work from University of Tennessee in Knoxville, TN before settling in Johnson City, TN with her family.
Jill’s areas of interest include working with the LGBTQIA+ community and incorporating play therapy techniques while working with children. She uses a combination of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Solution-Focused Therapy to develop a treatment plan addressing the client’s own goals using specific, obtainable steps and recognizing each individual’s strengths.
